Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much notice do you need to take a booking?
The sooner you contact us about your cake the better as there is a limited amount of orders we can accept each week, however we do always try our best to accommodate orders even at short notice.
2. Do you require a deposit for bookings?
Yes, a 50% deposit* is required at the time of booking. The balance is due on delivery.
*Macaron boxes can be ordered without a deposit and paid for in full on delivery.
3. Do you offer delivery?
We do offer delivery :
Up to 7 Km - 15
Up to 15 Km - 25
Up to 25 Km - 40
Tiered cakes require delivery and in some cases are assembled on site, Prices upon request.
4. How do pick ups work?
Prior to the delivery date we will communicate with you to arrange a pick up window.
Collection is from Grousewoods, North Vancouver.
5. How do I transport my cakes?
Single tiered cakes will be delivered to you in a box on a cake board. You can transport them quite safely on the passenger floor of your car (During warmer days ensure the air-conditioner is on). Make sure to brake and take corners slowly. Although, if you can have a passenger sitting with it on their lap for the journey, that would be best.
6. If I have leftovers, can they be frozen?
Your cake leftovers can be frozen for up to 30 days if placed in an airtight container.
7. How do I keep/store the cake?
Your cake can be kept fresh in the fridge for up to 7 days (decorations may vary). If you are not eating the cake on the day of pickup, store the cake in a drinks fridge to avoid the transmission of odours from a food fridge. Take it out to serve at least 1-2 hour before cutting. Butter based cakes and buttercream are best eaten at room temperature & soft
8. Are you a Gluten Free and Nut Free kitchen?
Margot Macaron is NOT NUT-FREE or GF kitchen. Please be aware of this before serving you cake to your guests and when ordering. Unfortunately we DO NOT cater for allergies at this time.

10. How much is it to add extra features?
If you would like additional features on the cake like gold leaf, deluxe blooms (peonies, orchids, etc), macarons, unicorn cake - please let us know in the request form so we can quote you accordingly. Custom cake toppers (i.e. Happy birthday, 30, Oh baby) are $10 each.
11. How do deposits work?
Deposits are non-refundable. A credit for the deposit may be forwarded to a new booking date if the customer gives at least 3 days notice ahead of time.
